1-6 Months |
"Four and a half" is not all that much more than "four". However, the past six months have been a period of some great developments for me. I started communicating in English with my classmates in the kindergarten. I readily use complete sentences in Russian. When I want to do something, I have an approach or a plan before starting a project and describe my ideas clearly.
I am becoming poised and
self-confident. I try to copy adult's behavior and act grown-up. I am
curious to know more about everything that I see and hear. Once I make up
my mind, I do not change it easily and, like many children of my age, I
often get upset with changes in routines or plans. Sometimes I cry when I
am corrected, contradicted, or scolded. My height is 42 and 1/2 inches (1.078m), and my weight is 38 lbs (17.21 kg). |
7-12 Months |
I am 5! Five
years doesn't seem like a long time, but the knowledge and
skills I gained are incredible. For instance, just a few months ago,
could I count "by 5" to one hundred? Of course, I could not. Not only I can
do that now, but I can easily find any mistake you make writing the row of
these numbers. I developed many new skills. I know where, for what purpose, and how to use the screwdriver, scissors, and other handy gadgets for my projects and crafts. I come up with many interesting questions about the world around me, I like to make my own decision, and sometimes I can be very bossy. Sometimes I am critical of other children (I am telling them to not do wrong things, and if they continue, I try to stop them). I am also critical of myself and embarrassed by my own mistakes. I like to argue and reason. I know when to use words like "because." I am able to remember stories and repeat them, have good attention span and can concentrate well. My height is 44 inches (1.117m), and my weight is 40 lbs (18.12 kg). |
